PMS Fix, The Details
Since the turbo was coming out, figured we would do the following.
Turbo rebuild and WW
Turbo pedastal/EBPV rebuild, and of course all new Orings.
HPX
FRX
Plenum Inserts
Fuel bowl rebuild/reseal, and fuel heater delete
Foil Delete/paint pipes
CCV kit
A massive cleaning of the engine bay
As many saw last night, turbo was just about to hand grenade, day late and a dollar short as they say, so a replacement will be coming this week, will sort that out with Clay Monday.
So, all that said, CCV is in, fuel bowl is rebuilt, FRX is mounted on it, head plugs are loose for the FRX, going to wait on the HPX until I plop the new turbo in after my last thread, thanks all. Foil is delete, pipes painted, plenum inserts are in. Have been cleaning, and cleaning, what a dirty pig, lol. Once i get the new turbo, will be able to get some warm water in to help finish it up, but with the pedastal ports open, I have been working dry with them plugged with rags like the plenums.
Anyhow, this was as we started into the turbo, after the turbo was labeled DOA, we moved to the man cave fo rmore beers and the pool table for the evening. Here are a few pics snapped, will get more of where I am now, and the finished product soon.
Good luck on the repairs.
Also had the big Easter feed for the inlaws and my 3 partners and the wife and I. I cooked up a prime rib, asparagus, baked taters, portebelo mushrooms, and a fruit salad, good times.
So, here are a few more pics, will update next weekend with whatever turbo i end up with, and the assembled clean engine.
