2011 F-150 Brake Controller Problem

I purchased the Ford Trailer Brake Controller for my 2011 F-150 and installed it last night. After installing, it did not show up anywhere on my LCD display. I even had the trailer hooked to the truck. Is there any special programing needed to get it to function? Thanks.

I believe that the dealer has to hook it up to his computer to activate it.

Bud's right......it has to be programmed to the truck. Here's a link to a write-up by another user here. In his last sentence in his post, he says he had to take it to the dealer.

Thank you, that is what I thought... It would have been nice if my dealer would have told me that when I picked up the controller.
