50 f3 transmission

restoring process going great except for tranny . grinds in every gear . can a syncronizer be put in without much trouble

if it's grinding in every gear..it might be the clutch is not releasing properly..??or are you asking about replacing the trans with a newer one that has syncros?? my truck has to be double clutched into 3rd and 4th i think that is normal,,

You could have either the 3 spd HD or 4 spd.

The 3 spd was synchro'd. The 4 spd was not.

It's not rocket science but you have to pay attention to details. There is a diagram pic in the shop manual.

I would bet you have the 4 speed. You're going to have to learn to double clutch. It's not that hard.
