IPR HELP

On the IPR there is a sensor that gets plugged in, should that sensor be loose. Not The actual plug but the sensor itself. The nut on the ipr is tight

The IPR has a solenoid attached to it with a stamped tin nut. The nut should be tight and the solenoid should not be loose.

Sometimes the connector on the IPR is loose, and is usually OK.

You should ohm out the coil (solenoid). I took readings on 4 different ones and they ranged from 10.3 to 10.6 ohms. It's difficult to take the reading while wiggling the connector but try it so see if the reading changes. A friend had a rough idle and found that the coil ohm reading was varying between 9.8 and 10.8 ohms . A new solenoid cured the rough idle.
