Any help would be great
I get in start it up move out to street leave running 10min while I weld somthing on my Son's friend's car, then I told him to just shut it off,
He did,
I get in fire it back up to put back in driveway and reved it up (Hit the throtle 2X's) it drops to idle then dies, try to start back up an no-go,
So I unplug my Edge sys, then after a bit of crank-n it starts, quikly put back in driveway rev it again and samething died,
Now wont start 1-8cyl circut low, so I did the FICM repair still no start. put FICM in my friends 04 250 and started in 2sec and he did it off his remote start.
I just did the EGR block, but it's still in, Changed the sump screen to the new type, cleaned the oil-cooler, OMG was there a lot of crap in it, (Hi PIS HOT water/Steem worked AWESOME).)
any idea's.
averything is kinda pointing to the FICM but did the fix and it works in friends 04 250 so. WTF.
HI PSI oil sender??????
Thanks John.
There are no Ground wire on the FICM,
all the codes for Injector circuit low
P0282,p0279, P0276, P0273 etc,
Has the crank shaft code forgot what the # is but that just came up today, and thats because of cranking it over so long.
and when I plug in the FICM (Very gently) you can here the clicks / snaps when it plugs together.
check ficm and injector for harness chaffing
Iv never heard of a crankshaft code from cranking to long
the crank and camshaft sensors need to both be in sync for injector timing it would be good to know this code
was the crankshaft code was for range or performance
To the original poster. Your FICM is toast and needs professionaly repaired or replaced. Just because it runs someone else's vehicle doesn't mean it's healthy. If it's throwing all those codes it's for a reason. Remember......an 04 and 05 use different PCM's and different programming parameters even though the FICM's are the same.

I will check the Volts again getting a new one is not to big of a deal just want to try to figure it out before I drive 2hr to my friends to get a new one, or have him come out cuz you need to re-program the new one's.
And yes you can clean them out. I just did it, Just for the record I make intercooles / Heat Exchangers for race / lake boats Turbo and blower motors and I do it a lot with them, And if you have a temp gauge on your oil you can see the diff, from when it was good and when it started to plug up.
And for argument sake we did want to see how well it did work so we put a new one in just to see what the temp would be, and was the same.
Here in so-cal on flat ground 2200ft, elev, 9"lift 38" tire's 373gears etc, oil temp 170/185 when it starts to plug up it can go as hi as 225. and yes there are so many other factors, but we can go back n forth.
Any way I hooked it up in rev, flow to a steam pressure washer then put it in a clean tank and a lot of mud / sand from the casting and other crap came out. The yellow antifreeze is not the best to use and I believe causes some of the prob, since I started putting in Cat (Caterpillar) antifreeze in and put a filter on its been going strong. well till last week.
Now if it were a race motor like what I'm use to working on it would be running the next day. hehe.
Still wandering why would the FICM work totally fine in the F250.
Oh and the Code was P2617 Crank shaft circuit open

. and good feed back. And as far as the FICM from 04 to 05 not working, it's just a programing thing and they will work like my 05 did in the 04 250, if the FICM was bad the 04 would not have started up and ran. and I put it in a 06 drove around 97 mi, today worked fine. But thank you for the in-put.
You guys are a big help to a lot of people.
