lol thats what i like to hear thanks snap ur a big help. I just read this on an older forum post but same website... what is this man speaking of?
Thanks for the info. I was planning on changing them now because of air in the fuel system, but thanks to all of you and your suggestions, I was able to cure the problem by plugging the line from the filter to the injector. Thank you ALL very much. I was ready to take it to a mechanic to fix the problem. "KA-CHING" This is a great forum. I'm glad I found it and am part of it.
Air usually gets into the fuel system through the return lines. So I guess he was talking about replacing the o-rings and clamping the return line going to the filter so air wouldn't be able to get into the fuel filter. If air did, the fuel in the filter would drain back and the next start, the engine would have to fill the filter up again through cranking.
Also If you want some additional advice, dont use the clamps that are in the kit, the one from Oreilly sounds best to me for a kit, but I used screw-down type clamps(its 0200 AM sorry XD). I used the one I posted on my post with the pictures, I hope those pictures helped illustrate whats what and where its at lol. I had a heck of a time with Air Intrusion. If you need anything else for fuel problems me and snap can hook you up, most likely him cause im sitting in Iraq waiting on laundry lol.
well I got my kit the one from autozone doesn't really appear to be of anything high quality but oh well should do the job. maybe i can get around to gettin them viton o-rings on there in the near future. im reading around on the net the proper way to install this doesn't seem too bad. hopefully those ones in the back wont be too hard. i think on the left side i will have to remove GP controller to easily access the far back cap? and on the right i dont know just kinda turns into a dark pit lol. guess ill see how it goes tomorrow, weather is bad here in TN so that might be against me too.. brother lives in the garage.. lol... any tips i appreciate.
Tips, connect your pre-cut fuel line to the caps before pressing the caps onto the ingectors. You dont want the caps to move at all once they are pressed onto the o rings.
