89 bronco trans issue

I noticed my bronco wasn't shifting as easy tonight.it's a 5 speed.it doesn't want to go into 1st gear smoothly when I stop and start and the other gears while driving, and will grind if you try to pit in reverse.

Cool

I noticed it got worse after driving it more.it seems the clutch isn't working at all but if I push in the clutch while going down the road it does wat its supposed to do. But it seems it doesn't do anything when you stop and go

Check the fluid for the clutch master cylinder if low you will need to bleed the air if ok probably the master is likely bad

If its working that's cool, it could be low from the clutch wearing and the slave extending, or a leak, worst case the slave cylinder.

Slave cylinder is located inside the bell housing on Ranger/B2 man. trans after 1986.......the trans must be dropped to replace.

83-85 Rangers/B2 had external slave cylinders that are a breeze to replace and bleed.

The slaves in th 89s are petty good I have not seen one go bad although posible, check the fluid and see if it goes down, the reservoir is not big enough If you ask me.
