snapped dipstick

Yep, snapped the dipstick. I got it out with some needle nose, but I need a new one now...where can I get one other than a junkyard? There aren't any in my area

Just bought one yesterday at the local dealership ($32) Be prepared for a let down, the new style is not as robust as the one you are replacing

If that is really what the seller has that is the old style and WAAAYYYY better than the new style that I got yesterday. OP jump on that deal! You can use a vacuum cap as a replacement for now.
I will post a pic of the new style dipstick.

Old style is furthest away:

You can see from the photos the new style does not have the bluing of the old style. Also the blade in narrower and the T handle feels pretty flimsy in comparison.

My old blade is ok so I may machine a replacement.

I just replaced mine as well. The new style isn't that bad. A couple days after I got mine I discovered the Intellistick. Anybody seen or used it yet?

If you want the dipstick darker couldnt you just put a torch to the end of it and make it darker, just thinking outside the box.
