Starter issue
I just had my starter tested the other day and put it back in. you can hear it turning when the key is turned but its like the teeth never engage the engine.
any one have suggestions on it?

Maybe there's a spot on the flywheel with some missing teeth?
Pull the FSS wire off the IP and turn the engine over by hand with a wrench to see if it will turn the flywheel enough to grab an area with good teeth.
Just a thought

Ya, a guy i know that does trans work told me a motor always stops in the same spot just about everytime. So you could have a bad spot in the ring gear. It could just be the bendix, you should just be ablr to get a drive for it they are alot cheaper then a new starter and easy to put in. if you take the starter back out make sure the drive gear only turns one way on the drive.
