Mirrors

I'm sure some of you have seen this thread already, but I'm posting it for the ones who haven't.

Who is interested in a new mirror option for our OBS trucks? - PowerStrokeNation

Once you sort through the BS there are some good ideas.

Seems that they would get in the way of the wing window. That little window is the greatest lose on new trucks/cars. I use mine all the time as I am a smoker and it is a lot quiter than haveing the window down any at all.

That first set of mirrors from the OP looks like ****

But later in the thread there is a guy with a white CC dually that put dodge mirrors on his truck with only blocking the wing window maybe an inch.

That aint to bad. But I still like the the ps mirrors alot more. Just can't figure out how to get them on my truck with out losing my wing lol. The dodge mirrors look kinda spindly and thin.

By the way, did you move? I noticed you are listing Richmond as your town now.

Since the window opens in where it is covered it would be still usable I have been thinking about putting west coast mirrors on my truck but this could be a viable option if it doesn't interfere with the wing window especially if they are electrically adjustable (I have that on the car and would be nice on the truck) But I would not give up the wing window for it.

Could also do the same thing with some Chevy tow mirrors

The base on these is smaller than the dodge mirrors, which means less wing window blocked.

LOL! good point. I had a mirror slap with a chevy a couple years ago on the way to a kentucky chapter meet. My old metal mirror survived with a couple dents. The chevy mirror was all messed up.

being plastic doesn't bother me, half our trucks are make out of plastic.

I like metal mirrors, but I don't like how they rust and how many holes you have to drill.

And about the only metal towing mirror worth having is a west coat, but they don't flip in for city travel.

Pro's and cons to everything.

For me anything would be better than what I have now (1 mirror.) lol
