Grinding starter - won't crank...
Hey guys,
My '98 Expy's starter makes a TERRIBLE grinding noise when trying to turn the motor over. I pulled the starter and had Autozone test it. Worked fine, and the teeth on both the starter and flywheel look okay. I've never had any issues with the starter before - any ideas?

I have a similar problem , I changed the starter and still have the noise. I recall reading a thread here about the noise having to do with the AC compressor. I can't rememebr the exact reason.
