Static radio problem
2000 XLT Explorer
The PO went through 2 factory radios ,I swapped 2 aftermarket radios and still have static FM reception.
Are there any connector inside the vehicle that could become loose or go bad?

we had a similiar issue. Here are some places that we checked:
1. check the speaker wiring, if it's backwards it will cause static...wire
could also be fatigued in the doors
2. check the actual Antenna, it could have a broken plug, $10 for a new
on @ the auto parts store
3. check the grounds for the head unit
