Does anyone have a set of NOS side mirrors lying around? I would be glad to pay a fair price, I just don't want the cheap reproduction ones. I have a fair amount of parts for trade if anyone would be interested, but I would be happy just to pay for them.

 

I guess I should specify 1973-79. Preferably for a 77'. I think the bolt width was a little different.

 

Which mirrors are you looking for? There are a lot of different ones that Ford used.

Type 9 would be great. They are the most common it seems. Thanks for the link by the way.

1973/77 F100/350: There are two different styles of Type 9 mirrors. If replacing existing Type 9's, be aware they mount differently.

The mirror head was replaceable by itself. So...if all you need is the mirror head, you don't need to buy the whole kit.

Note 1978/79: There are two additional different styles of these Stainless Type 9's. Since the dealers installed all the outside mirrors, who knows what Type 9 mirror the truck has?

Dealers would install any mirrors they had in stock...whether it had an application of 1973/77 or 1978/79.

 

I can't thank you enough. Mine actually came with type 5 mirrors. I just wanted the correct ones for my 77'. It seems as though either would be correct depending on dealer installation. That makes it easier. I do appreciate the help everyone.

I think I really only need the head. I have a set, but the swivel bolt is rusted and just doesn't look good. I am replacing pretty much everything on the outside and just wanted it to look as nice as all the other new stuff. I suppose anything can be polished though.

Actually, I went yesterday and got some great deals in their scratch and dent building, which weren't scratched or dented. I will be going back today to pick up that mirror.
