I just inherited a 95 F250 XLT Powerstroke from my father. To my knowledge the truck always ran fine, but now it dies while I'm driving. I can easily throw it in neutral and start it, but then it just dies again. Anyone know what the problem might be?
Could be fuel pressure = dirty filter or clogged screen on the FPR? Not sure what would cause this specifically just a thought. hange around here long enough and someone with real experience will let you know for sure or ask for more info to diagnose the problem. best of luck to you and Welcome to FTE!!!
Welcome to FTE .. A cheap test would be a CPS ( cam position sensor ) get it from ford or international...Its about the only thing that isn't red next to the balancer
A little more information will help, such as how far / fast can you drive before this occurs. The more information you provide will help big time.
Have you checked the oil level on the dipstick? Power Stroke requires 14 quarts of oil. If low the HPOP (high pressure oil pump) will starve and you will stall.
