headlight upgrade

I already have the relays installed to give my current bulbs a bit of voltage boost, so it looks like this may be all I need.
Which Hella bulbs did you get, Barney? I guess I should more correctly ask, what are 78322's?

I'm thinking that this might be the answer to my looking, too.

I am looking at ordering them myself, along with the upgraded harness. HL28277 Susquehanna MotorSports - Auto Performance Product

Roland,
That harness will also serve as a Brite Box when a diode is added, though I personally don't think that is a particularly-good idea, especially if using higher-than-stock wattage bulbs.
Things ARE gonna' get hot in there!
That hundred-hour expected bulb life is a deal-killer for me, though....

Pop, I got the harness and bulb #'s from SkySkiJason. he's had great luck with them and doesn't seem to have a shortend life span. but for $11 bucks I figured they'd be worth a try. It seems I've paid more than that for regular bulbs.

its plug and play, really. you hook the power and ground to the battery you choose, then mount the relays on the fender or radiator support. once that's done you unplug the headlights from the OEM harness and plug in the new harness. then take ONE factory connector and plug it into the new harness. TAH DAH! that's it.

That's great and exactly what I would have ask you to do, pay if forward, it's what makes this place work! I'm still waiting to read the post where you upgrade to the 05 style.
