Can any one post a pic of how the tire is mounted with original brackets or close to that. My email if thats easier bsbbob@optonline.net 1953 F-100 Thanks
I mounted mine under the truck. I went to pick & pull and got a cable crank thing off a 99 ford ranger. I have a rear roll pan with a flip down tag with a hided hitch and i drill a hole just above that for the crank rod to let the tire down.
Thanks for that reply. I also put a hitch on but my springs are on top of the axle, So my receiver is is just below the roll pan back a little. I have a straight bracket i was going to modify. But i like your idea, never thought of a flip down plate. Thanks again Bob
Thanks Fred, Went to ebay and found several of them. Now i have to find a tire winch cheap, They all seem to be $50.00 on ebay. Maybe i'll try to hit a bone yard this week.Bob
