I'm considering buying a nice original F-1. Has anyone built a neat looking
cap / topper ? In the summer, it would be outside with a wood trunk,
built for a 29 Packard, in the bed. I.E. a good looking cap that mounts
in the bed pockets. Email me pictures to jrtljt031648@att.net
I laughed with every picture. Not one really caught my eye. My Dad made one for
his 40 Ford of wood with canvas and tool boxes on the outside around 1950.
No pictures. I was too young to remember what it looked like.
The F-1 I'm considering looks like the green one. Who makes a bed cover that works?
I appreciate your suggestions.
I don't think any company today sells one that is sized right and would look right on an old truck. I've done Google searches on the subect and found an old Mechanix Illustrated article with plans to build one. But I didn't archive it.
Also our friend GB Sisson built his own. Pictured below. Also, the orange one above on the Chevy is my picture taken in Hot Springs, SD. I tried to track down the owner but struck out.
