Here comes the "it was a biased test" or "it doesn't matter, Ford is still better" and "this doesn't prove anything".

Trying to remain unbiased, I'd rather see a test with no factory involvement what so ever. These vids seem like chevy comercials.

Why if Ford wins all say " Its a true test! Great gob! and etc."

But if its happens with Chevy everyone say " Its a Chevy Commercial! Unreal test and "

Thats because it is basically a Chevy commercial (on YT as a commercial) just like Fords EB testing and F-150 box frame testing was a Ford commercial. Pickuptrucks.com is losing merit with me because of posting this sort of commercial material compared to the very good unbiased independant testing they did only a year or two earlier.

I have to admit...GM's making a pretty serious HD truck today. But honestly If I were in the market for an HD truck I would still rather have a Ford. But since I'm not my F-150 does me just fine!

But anyway...It seems like stock for stock the GM Duramax pretty consistantly outperforms the Ford Powerstroke, Though the Powerstroke does put up a good fight. However when speaking soley about gas engines Ford takes the win here...I beleive the Ford 6.2L V8 is light years better than the GM 6.0L V8. So the winner in this catagory can be disputed, IMO In Gas Ford takes the win...In Diesel GM does.

And then of course you have frame strength. Some people will argue that the Fords C-Channel frame is better because it allows more flexibility and a better ride under load. And others will argue that the fully boxed frame is better because it provides added strength when towing/hauling heavy loads. Me personally...I have to agree with those that say fully boxed is better. If it wasn't good why does Ford use on the F-150s? My 2011 F-150's frame has great rigidity. I can see how this would be a good thing for a HD truck that might be towing 15 to 20K lbs or more.

There's also the exhaust brake. Its been proven in multiple tests that Fords exhaust brake doesn't work as well and GM's...This is not just propaganda, its an actual fact.

I REALLY don't like the IFS in the GM trucks. Honestly if I could have gotten my 2011 F-150 FX4 with a solid front axle I would have. I love that both Ford and Dodge retain the tried and true solid axle. GM's IFS is notorious for busting tie rods when under heavy loads. Ford and Dodge do not have this issue. IMO Ford takes the win here...But this is all subjective as some people wish the Superdutys had IFS and others ''myself included'' are glad as hell that it doesnt.

Overall...As much as I hate to admit it...I think GM has Ford beat out for the overall better HD truck. Even though the GM's still look the same they are vastly upgraded underneith for the 2011 model year. GM's trucks are dated in looks and build quality but the upgraded diesel engine and frame seem to be working good for this truck. I've no doubt Ford will retaliate in the future with more power and a stronger frame, that's just the way compatition works. I would like to see Ford give the Superdutys a fully boxed frame since it seems to have worked so well in the light duty F-150. And possibly upgrade the transmission, I honesly don't beleive that the Powerstoke itself is the reason the Superduty has trouble keeping up with the Duramax...I think its more gear related.

Don't even get me started on how I despise Howie Long. GM really needs a new spokesperson.
