My dash to torn apart now and I noticed that my blend door "weatherstrip" basically a square center section of some kind of spongy material, is disentegrating. It has a couple spots missing in the center of it and it will just fall off if one touches it. Any ideas on how to replace this center section with some readily available material or where I can order a new one?
I don't think I took pics, but I cleaned everything off and used spray-glue to attach some
1/4" (or so) foam rubber packing material to the doors to replace the stuff that turned to
dust by touching it.
I don't have AC, had to disassemble the box to get the heater core out, figured it was a great
time to replace that stuff.
You might try Lowes or Home Depot. They have packages of self adhering weatherstripping in various widths and thicknesses. [Frost King manufacturer?]
Agreed, and if you have trouble finding it tell them you're trying to seal an exterior door. They have both foam and rubber variants. You might want to get a decent chunk out so you can get thickness.
Cool thanks guys! I guess I may even be able to use that flooring material in several layers, ala em's cab. I plan to use it in my cab so I guess that may be an option.
