alright i got a 97 f250 auto 252000 miles on her.when idleing it idles a little rough the rpms go up a little and goes back to normal idle.wondering if anyone knows what the problem is.
got another problem when i plug in a obd ll to the connecter for engine light it shuts the truck off every time.i dont if it could be a computer problem or what.anybody that can give me tips of what i need to do would be highly thanked.
thanks hunter
Is the OBDII reader compatible with your truck? The cheapo auto parts store ones won't cut the mustard. I've had auto parts ones do some weird stuff when plugged in to my truck.
The Innova 3140 is a code reader that plugs into the obd2 port engine off test. if you try a engine on live test it will kill the engine, will not work on diesels but works on gas motors. all the cheep readers will do is engine codes.
ok gotcha thats what i pluged to mine.my engine light comes on and comes off i thinkl its a sensor going bad but im going to try a genisys evo its a good computer.my shop paid 3000 for it
