Hey Guys I brought my 92 5.0 f150 in to the shop because it would not start, after replacing the computer, engine temp sensor, fuel pressure regulator. It now idles rough and mpg went from 15 mpg to 9mpg anyone have any ideas, this shop is not able to figure it out. Im out of money and will have to fix it myself Please help
With no codes, it makes it a little tougher to diagnose, but not impossible.
Some things that come to mind:
Vacuum leak, EGR stuck open (though this should set a code), bad ignition parts (plugs, wires, ignition module).
Was the truck running like this before you had the shop work on it? In other words, was it running like crap, then died, then you took it in to the shop?
No the truck ran fine, came out one morning and would not keep running I had to keep the gas on to keep it running, when I let off the gas it would die
Thanks for your help, Im going to bring it back to the shop so they can check it out I payed them alot of money to fix this problem so now I will be a pain in the a** till they fix it. thanks again
