LOL no, turning wastgate down For sure. But well see how his mods do. I think its just intake with 6637 mod and bigger upping. I just want about 12 psi. Im not lookin for numbers...just the whistle!!
well i guess ill have 2 turbos now...the guy i sold it to say his motor just crapped out (i think he just cant handle the install) so im going to buy it back. Havent decided yet if im going to sell it or keep it for the motor im rebuilding. by the end of the weekend it could potentially be a complete kit (-tranny tube) so if any one is seriously interested pm me. will be more $ tho then 530....
I will drop some cash on that, the factory turbo with the 3" DP, thats the aftermarket non-crushed one right? Just send me a PM and we can work the details out.
Joe, why is your turbo only making three lbs of boost? The Non-Wastegated banks kit on mine makes 9.5-10 lbs and I only got a 3" exhaust system.
now that i have 2 kits im trying to make the best one i can..
the main thing im wondering is; see how the oil feed is bigger on the ford version, but the exhaust compressor of turbo is bigger on ats. they both have zero play and both have same downpipe and pretty similar uppipe. Which one should i use?
Use the ATS one. ATS designed these turbos, they wouldnt have let the oil feed be too small for the turbo to blow up or sieze. If you got one that has a bigger exhaust, that will make the engien breath easier. Just my opinion.
They both have the 3" downpipe and the ford factory one was made into the 3" Exhaust to fit the 3" down pipe. The only difference is the thickness of the actual exhaust compressor. Look closely at the two, Ats is 1/2" thicker. Go with the top one (ats)?
