how does this look guys? now mind you that none of the parts are tight or in any working condition (currently) this is just a mock up. Does it look like im missing anything other than down pipe and oil line and valve cover?? the actual install with the motor out was the easiest 30min spent working on this truck. Now i still have to reroute the return lines and all that jazz but as far as how the turbo sits... is it correct?

yeah buddy!!! looking sweet! The DP, obvious. The VC, obvious. You can get some stainless braided line for the oil line, and mount it to the top of the oil pressure riser on the back of the passenger side block. Do you have the grommets for the intake valley pan where the CDR goes? Overall looks good bro!

unfortunately i gummed up the grommet but i think i have one or 2 laying around. So other than the obvious stuff its pretty straight forward.

**ANYONE OUT THERE KNOW THE SPECS ON THE DOWNPIPE?? The length the thickness of pipe any mounting brackets? anything?

Man that would be sweet! No hurry on it, I called the guy I bought it from and he said he would look around his place for it.

Also im thinking about painting it and putting header wrap on the exhaust. I know its been talked about and don't worry I will search it, but real quick any good paints out there?

same brand that makes the wrap makes the paint, koolit i think is the brand. On the exhaust housings on mine i used ceramic high temp coatings to protect and maintain heat. as i can push instant boost, i dont think temps are too big a deal but wrapping my crossover wouldnt hurt i bet. is it needed, not for 12psi and under, i dont believe anyway. did dave need to use it for his high psi engine, probably helps a lot. we need to find someone online selling one to measure the DP for us. hopefully guy has it at his place and just forgot it.

Thanks and yes I am. Still waitin on friggen engine stand. Gotta get the crossmember off still then dig deeper in motor, and of course perfect timing my buddies 302 blows a head gasket so that got bumped up on the priority list.

And wreck, if he does have that DP still im definitely going to measure and take detailed pics. Seems like with ats done making them it could be quite an issue. Like it is for me right now!!

make sure you take plenty of pictures i mean alot ALOT of pictures when you do the rebuild since your doing it before me it will really help me out..... hell could even video record it

one thing i plan to do when i rebuild mine is paint the whole engine bay bright white. even the engine find high heat white paint and paint it all white. that way if anything leaks or i need to really see something it will show up and it will be easier to pinpoint the problem areas. just throwin that out there if that may be an idea your interested in

Haha maybe not the video but definitely the pics.

On the intake manifold where the air box sits, I've always wondered why those 2 bolt holes where there, and now I know why ha. Also I noticed there is a fitting on the box for the boost guage, but what is the fitting on the snail cap for? I think someone told me once but can't remember what thread it was in

Painting the whole engine bay white would look sicko, especially when dirty. A buddy of mine has that on his car and it don't look great cause it gets dirty so easily. Red is the perfect color for a engine bay.

Turbo looks all wrong. Send it me, I'll fix that..... LOL.

Looks good man, I like red trimmed with silver for the engine. I know it's not stock, but gray is just too boring......
I'm torn on what to do. My truck is red, do I make the engine red as well? Prolly......
