the port on the filter box is the filter minder location but you can fill that if you have half a brain and change air filters often. The snail cap 1/8" npt port is the boost gauge location.

Gotcha, I have that filled right now. Im curious to see how the boost is, if the PO ajusted the wastegate at all. Is there any specs on where it sould be? Without having a boost gauge? Or would it just be. Better and safer to get gauge at the beginning?
Unless you are going up hill or towing something heavy, it should only boost around 9lbs regardless of where the wastegate is and then it will shift. I only see 12lbs going uphill. I guess it wouldn't hurt to have a gauge on it when you first get it running though. You won't blow your head gaskets revving it in neutral.
I have a few big hills I travel regularly. One at 50 mph where my egts hit 900 at the cylinder and one hill at 25mph where I get up to 600 but have to have it in 2nd cuz its long and slow. If it goes up to 3rd then im bogged and rollin smoke and egts go up fast as I can blink
the ATS system at stock is 7.5, locked. Trust me. I have turned my wastegate rod 12 full revolutions and just touched 12psi at full throttle uphill. It takes a lot of tightening down to get it to boost up but once you get it right, start saving for new tires now hahaha. youll be rrrrrippin em loose in no time. If you count the threads left after the little locknut i can tell you about what you should be boosting but the boost gauge is nearly the cheapest gauge so just get it to be safe. I can hit 5psi in park revving it so if yours is cranked or locked down, you will want to know it before it tops the 15lb barrier!! lmao
yep, 6 complete revolutions. Yours is also a different turbo so who knows. Wastegates could be slightly different. With your 37's i doubt you will have much trouble with them, id be stoked to see them rip loose but dont hold your breath.
No doubt the wastegates are different, mine wasn't that hard to turn either, just mounted the rod in the vise and turned the bottom part with a vise grip. Took like 15 minutes from start to finish.
