I went without the stain. I bought it, then I held one of the bare wood planks next to the green bed-sides. My wife thought it would be better to keep it as light as possible next to the dark color. Looks like her color coordination skills are better than mine!

 

As much as i hate to admit it...i think the little lady was right about the color.

But don't tell her i said so! I have a strict no compliments rule with my wife, under the thumb at all times!!!! Note that I made sure she wasn't in the room while typing. With my luck she will come come home from work with her ears burning. She always has a way of knowing when i am being a smart ***.


ANYWAY i digress...The lightness of the planks really shines next to that gorgeous green. Looking great!
