I'm not real proud of this, but I was trying to button the day of wrenching up yesterday and I snapped the new EBPS off in the bracket while installing it. I have tried a few different extractors and it has not gone well....see the picture:
Can I pull this bracket from the and replace it? It looks like it is sealed with RTV or something. Anyone know about this?
It can be replaced and I have one if you need one, It is sealed with a sealant, I reinstalled with RTV. That cover is how you access the bolt to remove the drive gear for the HPOP.
Like alan said, that is the plate you remove to access the bolt for the hpop gear.
I cut that tab off the plate, and plugged the hole in the exh header. Since my tuning is not affected by that sensor, I removed it and its wiring as well.
That will be very hard to get out of the bracket from where it has been through so many heat cycles. You wouln't believe how much harder it is to torch off a turbo mounting bolt, or any exhaust bolt, compared to one somewhere else on the motor.

Subscribing.
I feel your pain. I had a similar problem a couple of weeks ago. I just took everything off until i could afford all the new parts. It looks like your bracket needed to be replaced real bad anyways......
PM me address and I'll ship it to you. How's that sound. I would think the oring should seal it, its not under any pressure, but clean it up and a little bead of RTV and you'd be fine.
