Dose anyone know where I can get a patch panel with the F1 tailgate script stamp in it?

They used to be readily available, but since Ford cracked down on their copyright infringement and product licensing rules, I believe that may have been one of the parts that got lost in the shuffle. I haven't seen that part offered for years. That question has been asked before, and has never had a positive answer.

Sorry for the bad news, but welcome to the forum.

Welcome.
Yep, my 51 f1 has the block letter tailgate and I looked for a script panel and ended up scoring an older tailgate on eBay (none listed today?) that the seller wasn’t sure of the year (maybe monkey face?). I’m going either retro fit the older gate (darksider) or cut out the panel like you are.

That script is easily cut out of various materials using a water jet.

Old F-1

That block lettered tail gate is an original I believe exclusive to Canadian Built late 1950-52 I don't think I would be cutting it if I had it.
They are a fairly rare piece and worth the keeping.
you can buy a nice brand new gate with the script from Mack Hills in MO.

Or from Mcmillan fiberglass in Owen sound ON.
Or from Northern Classic Pickups in MI.

Just a thought, besides I thought i saw some one looking for the Block lettered gate here the other day.

Thanks 5 star.
I would only cut if I absolutely can’t get this other gate to work and as I plan on using inside the box latches (with old school flap in the breeze tonneau cover) there is a great chance that the forces of the darkside will conquer

I have two used 51-52 F1 tailgates with good FORD script.
