6" Lift Question (see pic)

ok fella's this is a 6" tough country lift for a 97 f250 diesel. i know what all the other parts are for what is the part with the arrow pointing at it? i have compiled alot of these parts already and have been able to put this lift together for alot less than buying the kit but i dont know what this. thanks
ok i found out from looking at the parts list associated with the lift that its a crossmember but for what i doesnt look long enough to be one or stout enough. if i can find out what its for i can fab one and tougher than that one
thats what i thought had to be for the t-case but oh well i guess when i lift it i will find out. yeah i will fab up one better than that.
well glad i wasnt the only one that hadnt seen it lol i figured i would get made to feel pretty dumb for asking but i guess i will just find out when the truck goes up higher.
if you figure out what it is for, let us know.
i lifted 6 250 and 350 4X4 diesels, and never saw anything like that in any of the kits.

Just a wild guess, but i would say it probably has something to do with creating more clearance for the front drive shaft. I'd imagine that lifting the truck would cause the front shaft to be at a steeper angle, possibly hitting the t-case crossmember at full droop...
I have no idea how it would be installed...

Oh, and good luck with the blocks....
I've got 4" blocks on mine, and the axle wrap is insane... Putting a lot of throttle to it can make the rear axle jump off the ground...and its not pretty.
Your mileage may vary.....

i wasnt planning on using the blocks. i wonder how much lift a front add a leaf would put on the rear. cause it dont have the weight the front has should add at least 3 inches if it does 1.5 on the front

), doesn't look like it would be hard to fab one up if you need it though.
