ignition
I have a 1988 ford f-150. It has a 302. I am planning on intalling a msd ignition in it and I need to know what kind of ignition is in it now for example: TFI coil, Ford Duraspark Electronic ignition, etc. If you need more info just say so. Thanks

Your 88 has the TFI ignition in it. It is a good system except for the location of the TFI module. They are sensitive to heat and you may have to replace one once in a while. I had to replace one once in my Town Car before it got to 100,000 miles, it has the 5.0 in it.
