Fuel Filter?

Fuel Filter?
So I was going to go with a fleetguard filter and base to replace my water separator that leaks but my buddy that works at auto value got me a good deal on a wix setup. So I want to do this and make it look nice so I'm going to bend some steel lines for it, without the truck at easy reach what size and type of threads are in the fuel filter base and the fuel pump I think they may be 3/8" inverted flare but I"d like to be sure Thanks in advance

I'll do my best! Cargill calls me a Dairy Innovation Technician. Thats a sugar coated turd! thats fancy talk for the guy that juices our critters! So if i can milk a cow what other crazy things can i do? How would you like the right up? step buy step? Would 3/8 brake line work for this? I will try to put a list of materials once i know what i need.

You don;t have to do a fancy write-up or anything, just take some wicked cool pictures and give us a blurb of what you did.
I pulled the filter head off my spare 6.9 and took some pictures, I know you know what a 6.9 filter head looks like...but I'll use the pictures to explain the fittings.
This fitting, the one that goes to the IP, Mics out to be .15" I.D. It looks very much like the inside of the 3/8" nut I held up to it.
This fitting, entering the filter from the lift pump, Mics out to be .24" I.D. I tried threading on a 5/8" nut, and it would have went on if the nut was finer thread.
As for the type of threads, what do you mean by inverted brake line?
I remember seeing 2 types of flares on the brake lines when I last bought brake lines. The guy said the american cars use the typical flare we're used to, but the imports use a flare that is opposite. It's weird, I wish I had pictures...

BTW...I know you know this...fill the filter with clean fuel...spin on...tighten 1/2 turn...fire off the old engine...
I usually drain mine about once a month...never found any real amounts of water so could probably go much longer...I just don't know how long...

First off thanks for the pictures! Brake lines as a rule need a double flare where the standrad flare is rolled in on itself. It looks like the fittings in the head are 3/8 compression fittings. So from the way it looks the threads inside the head are plain old 3/8npt so I"m set i got the line and a bender now all i need is some gray paint to make it look really nice. The way i understand it regular flares have a female nut on the line i.e. lp gas line and the inverted flare has the male nut on the linei.e brake line

Wix part number is 24309. the filter i got is a 33418. Its the longer version of the 6.5 chebby one. I'm using the brake line just cause it was within arms reach and i was at the auto parts store. Since i dont run in the winter i don't think i need the fuel heater and i've never even checked heck it might not have worked in years. And don't worry

lol all my equipment is always first class... my fuel heater went to leakin like a SOB last fall up through the inside of the electrical connection, so i tore it apart and replace the o rings...still leaked...alot so i got angry and filled the plug with jb weld and it hasent leaked since. ive had no problems with out the fuel heater this winter, but i use powerservice religously. if it starts leaking again i think im going to switch to the wix set up
