Hello to all FTE's! I've been reading this forum for quite some time now and finally decided to go legit and get signed up! I've got a 48 F3 stake bed truck. The truck is very solid but needs some finishing to be road worthy. Like other newbies I'll be looking for some info on my truck. I also would like to connect with other F3 guys and possibly meet up with other FTE's in my area (Central IL). I'd have to say I'm about as Blue Oval as it gets. This is starting to sound like an eHarmony ad! Hope to hear back from some of you.
Welcome, although I'm not technically a "F-3 guy" but a "M-3 guy", you will find this site a great resource for information and ideas on restoration, re-building,and/or rodding of our particular addiction!
Well heck, my welcome too. And I'm closer than most. I'm down in the Springfield area (rural Rochester). Others in the area who are fairly active here are Kevin (55F350) in Springfield, and Jeff and Nicolle in Pekin. Stu
Hopefully the artic chill is about gone (not this weekend) in Central IL and I can roll the truck out for some pics. I'll advise more details later.
Stu, we've chatted before on another forum regarding my question about which speedometer was correct for my F3. I've got two gauge clusters... one speedometer with and one without the shift indicators. I think the conclusion was the one without is correct.
Congrats to the Cats for knocking off the Buckeyes a few minutes ago!
Welcome to FTE from Northern Illinois. I am an F2 owner and love the differences these trucks have over the F1. I am hoping that since we seem to be having a growth spurt here in Illinois that we might be able to all get together this summer sometime. Think that would be cool.
Hey welcome and we are close as Stu said! We are in Pekin, I have a 49 F3 that I have been switching to more of a F1 lowered kinda sorta darksider thing. My point is, if you need any F3 suspension stuff, I would love to see it go to another F3. Anyway just letting ya know I got some F3 stuff and welcome to FTE!
