dome light removal

Any ideas on how to remove the dome light cover on a 97? Mine is really loose and I don't want to pry the wrong way and break it. Thanks.

dome light removal

There are four plastic tabs that hold the lens onto the frame- 2 on the front (either side of the switch), and 2 on the back. You just have to carefully pry the front off first by pulling out on the lens, then pull back on the rear of the lens. I'm assuming you have the XLT light with map lights. Just be careful and take your time!

I've been wanting to clean the inside mine and like V10man I was afraid of breaking it b/c I didn't know how it was supposed to come off.
