pretty much like myself prep... Except I don't have the fancy boat yet... Have most of the other toys to enjoy the weather tho. Thinking about getting a SxS Razr 4 seater this spring...
Those things are pretty cool Sherm. I have been pondering getting a side by side as well, as a guy I work with gets a smoking deal on them, but I think Im gonna go the quad route instead. I also paid off a full quarter section of land not long ago so my toy fund is gonna be small this year, unless I take out some cash against the land, which I aint gonna do!
Morris my house and the middle of my yard is up on a small hill so I have zero problems with water! I also still have my backhoe where I could dig trench's and ponds and get rid of any problem water in an instant!
I'm on a big hill too so flooding isn`t a problem tho my son`s grid road was under water last fall. The RM pumped the two sloughs on either side of it plus built the road up so he should be good this spring.
The grid road by my place was 4ft higher than it is now. It has sunk over the last 12 years. Last year they built it it up only a foot. Which was not enough. Water was at the dges last fall by freeze. So from the amount of snopw we got here it will be under 2ft of water I would doubt.
Thanks for the offer there Morris. I can still drive out going south. Like I said it will be just another 15 minutes of driving on higher and good roads.
Not much melting up here either, which means MORE SLEDDIN.
The longer daylight hours are feeling good too ( I do enjoy the dark too)
I snowblowed around my house again this year. The snow banks around my place are way higher than last year.
