I have a 94 F150 with the 302 in it. I am currently working on fixing this truck and i have been thinking about putting probably something like a 4 inch suspension lift and some 32 mud tires. I have been hearing that if i did this this engine would not handle these tires and the lift very well without changing the gears to 3.73 or 4.10. Some people have been telling me to do this and some others have been telling me to swap the engine for a 351. I was wondering what some of you guys who have done something of this sort before think and if you have any advice. Thanks!

 

If you change the gearing, youl be fine...Even without it, 32`s wont dog it down. But ultimatley, it depends on what you use the truck for

 

Well its a truck and i plan to use it like one. you know hauling stuff that needs to be hauled and pulling trailers but i still want to be able to run it in the mud every now and again and be able to have some fun with it. The engine that is in it now is having some problems too and i think i might have to do some trouble shooting on that.. any advice on the best kind of lift? i was thinking a suspension lift but i havent been doing that much looking yet.
