Im gonna buy a van turbo with 1.15 A/R housing off CL and I need to know how to do the delete the EBPV, I seached old threads and cant find how to. Also the flange on the down pipe id for an OBS, and I need to buy a different one for my truck, and I cannot find one if someone could post a link that'd be great thanks
Good to know thanks for posting that for me. I bought it, now I just need to know where I can get the flange for the exhaust on the turbo so I can use my down pipe because the van turbo has an OBS flange an I can't use mine, or I need to know a way to customize my down pipe but id prefer to buy a new flange
That's what I was looking for thanks. Sence you have done this according to your sig. Do you know if they are interchangeable? And how long did it take you to do? Was it straight forward? I'm looking to get all the info I can before I dive into it thanks

Done what according to my sig? What I just did was the GTP38R which is similar to the Van Turbo. However, that (van turbo) was a while back so I am a little fuzzy on the exact comparisons.
Is what interchangeable? That piece from Beans works whether it is on the Van turbo or the GTP38R with the 1.15 A/R housing.
How long it took was about 8 hrs which included lunch and some alcohol refreshment breaks. My biggest problem was working on it without being able to get the marmon clamp on. The thing you MUST know is that the it looks easier to take the nut off the clamp, put the turbo on and then close the clamp with the nut. It IS NOT. So, you make the clamp loose enough to slip over the lip. The next big problem is this. You need to be able to lie on the engine area somehow so if you have some sort of scaffolding like a diving board, life is good.
Sorry Im a victim of my speed reading again, I sttn 1.15 A/R in your sig. and figured it was a van turbo you installed. I was aking if the flanges are interchangable instead of buying one from Beans. Thanks for the tips, itll be a little while untill I put it on my wife and I are in the process of buying our first house(its awesome) so the turbo is going on the back burnner for now, untill i can buy the flange WW and bellowed up pipes
Thank you I believe thats the same thing aklim posted for me but $.50 cheaper lol. Ill take your advice and try it with the stock wheel first, that puts me $100 closer to putting it on, thanks bud
Wait... What year is this van turbo? You need to make sure it's not from an early 99. All van outlet adapters are smaller than our trucks, but you CAN'T put an e99 van turbo on a 2001 truck....
As far as the EBPV delete from the pedestal, I'd save the $$$ and do it myself. I bought one, then deleted it from my old pedestal. It's SUPER easy... There is a video of it somewhere. Once the pedestal is out, it's literally like a 15 minute job and you need nothing but a $2 pipe plug, Teflon tape, and a 1/4 NPT tap....
If you're serious about running power with the van turbo, the ATS is worth every penny. Mine has ZERO surge with the stock late wheel and I run mine HARD.
I have no idea what year the van turbo is from, i hope this isnt an issue for me. how can I tell the difference?
Later I plan on stepping up my HPOP and injectors, I only want to make about 400 or so horses, any more than that Im scared of the PMR.
The EBPV Im confident in now, the thread took a turn as I had more questions
