I have a F150 XLT and the damn lights in the instrument cluster went out. I only have one left working
I tried taking the dash apart BUT.... there seems to be a hidden bolt keeping the damn thing in place! Anyhow anyone have info on how I can get at the instrument cluster?
To get the cluster out: remove radio bezel which has 4 or 5 bolts behind it, remove lower cluster cover (snaps in) there are bolts to be removed here as well, remove the light switch which has bolts behind it as well, remove the top cover and then you should have full access to the cluster. Here is a link to some pics for refrence but you do need to take the bigger top cover off to access everything easier so you dont break anything.

there is a trick to them for that truck but i dont know what it is since I have an 03 mine just pops out. You have to actually use the **** on yours to remove it. Someone will chime in that has that particular switch assembly.
