I am planning on air bags for my truck. Looking for anyone who has taken the dash off and how to do it. Or better yet, where I want to put the guage is the location where your ESOF 4X4 switch would be.

I have the manual lever on the floor so that switch location is emty. Can I just pull that cover off?

Other ideas?

 

Sounds like a good place to put the gauge. From what I have read, you have to pry two pieces off to get that center portion of the dash out. The two pieces are where the cig lighter and pedal switch are, and also where the mp3 input is. You get those off and there is a bolt on each side. Then the rest of the dash is held in by clips. I haven't had mine off yet, but will soon when I install my Pioneer HU that I had in my other truck.

 

You are right on how to get it off of their. I posted this in another section and that is what I was told. After the cig lighter and mp3 are out it is just a 7mm hex fastener on each side then work your way around the bezel.
