Hey thanks! I love the reactions people have when they see the whole story.
Ive since sold that truck to nice young woman who will be taking it back to Michigan for grad school. Hope it doesnt end up a rust bucket.
I dont mind at all. I pulled the carpet completely out of the rig, then I wet them down with a mixture of Purple Power degreaser, Dawn dish soap, and dash of bleach. I scrubbed them with a nylon brush and then power washed with a rotex head on my pressure washer. I hung them to dry in front of my woodstove and reinstalled, then gave a final vacuum.
Thanks.. I just found it amazing the carpet cleaned up that well. That section under/beside the drivers seat would not have surprised me if you said you had to use dynamite!!

I find with the synthetic fibers in the carpets they arent that hard to get clean when provided with an adaquate amount of rinsing. Most people try to use little upholstery shampooers and those simply dont run enough volume of water through them.
Taking them out and simply washing with a hose would do more than you might imagine.
Here is another example of good old fasioned elbow grease. This was a 98 Mountaineer I picked up from auction. I wore a respirator when I cleaned this one out!
