Any tricks to pinpoint rattles? Or where the most likely areas would be to rattle on a 05 S'cab?
Recently installed a set of E Load tires on my truck (overkill I know, but I couldnt refuse for the price) I knew these tires would ride alot stiffer than what I had & they really woke up every little rattle that was non existent previously.
I can hear something that sounds loose in the bed region & checked suspension, body mounts etc & cant find anything, also in the cab (mainly behind the dash) I ziptied some wiring harnesses that I thought might be culprits but didnt make much of a difference. (Also lowered the tire pressure a bit, but that really only masks the fact that somethings loose & rattling when it shouldnt be)
I had an annoying rattle on the pass side of my 05. Several times went thru everything to make sure nothing was loose. The other day I looked again, and saw the release side of the pass seat belt sitting against the plastic side of console. I thought, "no way". Tucked it under the console, and the truck was quiet again.

That was actually one of them, also adjusted the strikers for RH suicide door & helped a bit, still something behind dash & as for the exterior its driving me nuts because it sounds like I have a box full of loose scrap metal (ok not quite that bad but not far off.)
