I'm no math genius, but it seems to me that if your speedo is reading low you would want a smaller diameter (less teeth) driven gear. Please correct me if I'm wrong. My other concern is that Ford may not have anticipated people putting tires of that size (35's) on the truck. Consequently, the smallest (16 teeth) may still not be small enough to correct the speedo error.

I agree with you on smaller no. of teeth on gear to correct speedo. I think the 16 tooth gear would get him fairly close.
