ok i'm getting a P0341(i think) which is a camshaft position sensor malfunction. i have a very slight hesitation when hot but no other derivable issues.
i've been searching online on a how-to on this but i cant find it. the manuals i have dont show it and i'd like to do this myself if possible. also heard i need a special tool to sync it?
The CPS should be in the hole where a distributor normally is installed, at the back of the engine. You will need to remove the doghouse cover to get at it.
I've never done this before, as my 4.0 engine does not use a CPS, but here is a write-up by someone doing this on a 3.0L v6, but it should be similar on the 4.0:
