Which struts to get?

hey guys so i need new struts. Im used to buys struts for my car not a lifted truck. I have gathered the there are struts for different levels of lift? my truck has a 4" lift on it i beleive. which struts should i get? im looking for a good set but not looking to spend a arm and a leg. I only put like 10k miles on my truck a year...

New setup

First off, don't call them Struts, that's way to girlie for our trucks. Shocks. and I love my Bilsteins, but that are a bit pricey, but last a long time

where you gonna put struts on that rig?

4''lift requires 4'' extended shocks

There are two struts on our trucks, but the lift won't matter as they are for raising the hood.

google National Tire an Wheel, find some shocks and they will have different lengths for lift heights.

look here Lift Kits, Leveling Kits, and Shock Absorbers - Suspension System Specialists! - Top Gun Customz

call them and tell them what you have and they will send you the right shock. While Bilstiens are great, you can pick up 4 (Rough country)Nitros for the price of two bilstiens.... Im just sayin, if money is tight.

Not true. most IFS has torsion bar and shocks, a strut is just a coilspring and shock all in 1.

Still not true. Strut is totally different than a shock. Struts get very high side loads as they are part of the suspension that does turning and locates the wheel/spindle.
Used in place of an upper control arm. There are more stout bearing/bushings in a strut to handle the side loads.

shocks just go up and down.
