yeah...im in NEPA...but thats pretty far for a tube...we are having a NEST spring fling here...its the last weekend in april/first day of may...you are more than welcome
NEST is the North East Seven Threes...we are having a large tech/work day at my shop.
im not sure about the '99 tube...i looked at it and it looks like mine, but i have a 2000. i know there are subtle difference for early'99s and others...so im not really sure...that price is a good deal though
haha, sorry Chris I just asked about NEST again in a pm. I think Im just gonna go for the tube, I don't see how it wouldn't fit as I have the 99.5. The manifolds and all other parts between the two ends of the tube are the same so the tube would have to be the same...
Thanks for the invite, I wish it was just a little closer and I would be there no sweat. Between me being in school again, getting married in Sept, and now expecting...things are a bit tight right now! Thanks for all the help, again
Sensor and tube ordered from Rockauto for $107, hopefully it doesn't take too long to get here. How bad is it to trun the truck with the sensor and tube pulled and no plug in the manifold fitting?
it creates a huge exhaust leak...you can buy a 1/4 pipe cap at the hardware store and just cap it...i did this when i was replacing mine, but found out that my tuning wouldnt allow me to boost over 20 psi...put the sensor in and the tube...back up to my happy 30
Is there anything we can do like spraying some thing in the tube to keep it clean say wen we change our oil. I just checked my codes and got 0470,0478,1211,and 0514 cant figger out what the 0514 is can't find it.
I recently replaced my EBPS tube, my old one was cracked too. My fuel mileage seems to be a bit better already. I ordered the tube from my local stealership. Thanks to Guzzle for a great write up!
Rosdrnnr, did you have a noise like maybe tapit or something after warm up and at idle? Mine runns good but I have this noise when I stop at idle and it was said to be the tube but I didn't see any hole or crack. I mean after a long drive. Chet

514? or 541? I'm pretty sure that is for the AIH(Air Intake Heater) Do you have it still installed?
