Innovative/ITP/Strictly regulated return vs. Elite
Just wondering if you guys know of any glaring differences in function between the two setups?
I know the Innovative one has all new hard tubes with larger banjo fittings. Hose and regulator are different too, but the function appears to be the same? I can get a sweet deal on the rubber hose version of the Elite one, but I only want to get it if it's a good system.
IF I ever do injectors it will be 155cc so I probably don't need the high flow banjo fittings.
If you're only doing 155cc injectors then the only thing you really need to do is replace the banjo bolts MAYBE. I'm running stock fuel lines on 175's and have no fuel pressure drop at WOT.

But are you measuring fuel pressure on the pump side of the heads or the return side of a regulated return setup? If you're measuring on the pump side, there's no way for you to know if your injectors are being starved by a restriction in the lines between your pressure sensor and the heads.

agreed there thats what i was thinking! i run the itp kit because i heard elites was way to hard to install and had horrible instructions. i wouldnt run rubber lines because they could get super hot next to the up pipe
I had kinda wondered about the rubber lines. Will they really run that close where the heat would be an issue? Doesn't the ITP kit come with a plastic cover for the SS lines so the lines don't rub through anything? I thought I read about the covering in the instructions. If that is the case wouldn't rubber be fine? I found someone local with the Elite kit(new) for less than half of the ITP. If it weren't for that deal I would have the ITP kit on my list.
The itp hoses do have a plastic cover over the lines. The back lines are pretty close to the y-pipe and i mean close. There pretty hard to get to and a solid line makes it a little easier to install cause you can have a buddy on top holding the line in place while your struggling underneath trying to get that dang banjo bolt in. To each his own though. If you can get a good deal on the elite kit I'd say go for it. Apparently it works with little issue or they wouldn't sell the kit that way.

I'm measuring on the return side of the heads AFTER the injectors have used all the fuel they need.
To the OP: If you're going to get an RR kit then go with the ITP/Strictly diesel. The kit is well made, well thought out, and great quallity. I installed mine by myself in less than 5 hours in my driveway. It would have been much less if not for the PIA drivers side front banjo bolt.

you do have a great point ive just heard that they arent thought out that well and it takes forever to install them. i think that itp is the way to go. spend more money now and make it easier on your self or go cheap and pay for by installing it and getting mad. almost anyone on here will tell you itp because its so thought out and an GREAT kit!!
