Headers for my application?

I have a 78 f150 with 351m. It has stock everything (except dual saddle tanks) and I want to know what is the best route to go with headers and dual exhaust. I have been told to use mandrel bent tubing.. Any suggestions on brand for headers and exhaust. How much would I expect to spend for headers, new tubing and exhaust?

Unless you will be running it on the track, you don't need mandrel tubing. Don't get me wrong, it is better, but the area that makes it better will only be experienced on the track. That will save you some money since it all has to be fabricated anyway. So long as the gas tank isn't in your way, true duals would be great, but if the tank is int he way, might as well run a dual outlet muffler and just run a single from the front to the muffler. Its less expensive, flows just as well if not better, looks just as nice, and doesn't need X-pipes or H-pipes to balance the sound.

Summit has Hooker headers for $189.95 and a true dual exhaust kit from Hooker for $169.95. You'll need mufflers too. 2.25" diameter is just right.
