I'm restoring a '56 also. I noted your wheels in this pic:
Are those the correct 'Colonial White'? I'm taking some new wheels in for powdercoating this week and any information would be appreciated.
Thanks,
James
They are actually a cream white which I had done when I ordered the wheels. The Colonial White, as I recall, seemed to be a bit too white for my taste. The color is very close to the "white" in the custom cab emblem.
On the ground with the new So-Cal beauty rings installed. They fit very nice and tight. Good quality. Very pleased with the stance. I thought long and hard on this but decided that the wheels needed the bling. The end strip on the bed shows how I used the non-reveal wood and notched the end strip to fit flush with the top of the side flange. Just didn't care for the Mid Fifties overlap on top idea. Small point I guess, but the little details are important to me.
Bill I like what you did with the end of the bed wood, notching it to sit flush. Did you move the stock rear bumper bracket in or are you using the hugger brackets? Looking good all the same keep the pictures coming.

That is a great attitude to have when your building your truck. When you finish, the final result is going to reflect your extra work.
Your truck is beautiful!! Love the green and the creme(?) wheels. <!-- / message -->
