od light flashing-- help please
hey guys need a little help or advice
i bought a 95 f350 powerstroke at auction. batteries were completely
dead and had to jump it off when i picked it up. the odometer,speedometer
back up lights are not working. od light flashing on shifter. also the abs
yellow on the dash is on. no check engine light though. i havent checked
the fuses yet. i used a scanner and only got a memory code. i reset
the codes and the od light is not flashing not flashing now, but i still
have no speedometer or odometer. abs light still on. any help or ideas
would be greatly appreciated. 95 f350 270000 miles e4od

I had this problem 2 weeks ago It was one of the big maxi fuses under the hood. It controlled the speed o the odometer the automatic trans shifting and the ABS light was on. I can pop my hood & tell you the # in a bit.

The speed sensor can cause the flashing OD light. Does it shift funny? Pull the sensor out of the top of the rear end and check it out. May need to be cleaned up and put back or replaced all together.

You should check what code has been stored in memory. Otherwise you're going to waste a lot of time and money.

I don't mean to keep on this fuse thing but mine tested good installed with a meter. You need to pull every one and viaually check they could be hanging on by a thread & reading continuity.
