I saw that myself. Please post your results as I need a set for my doors and I was considering them. If possible some pictures???
I got rubber on the doors. BIG DIFF. Now i have to slam the doors. I'm hoping it will get easier with time. It makes it easier if i let the window down a bit.
The reason you have to slam to the door is...the repro w/strips are based on the 'fatter' FoMoCo "servicepartreplacement" w/strips.
The flatter factory installed w/strips were only available on new vehicles.
This "slamming the door" issue existed with all the service part replacements...and now...with the repro w/strips...regardless of what vehicle they're for...for decades.
At one time, the service part replacement weatherstrips came with an instruction sheet on how to install them:
"After glueing the weatherstrip on, use masking tape liberally to hold it in place, especially at the corners.' 'Close the door till it just touches the striker plate (remove dome lamp bulb if applicable).'
'When the glue has dried, gently remove the tape."
