ready to order gasket and now more questions, i see a wide and narrow trim gasket includes windshield - back glass - both doors and not sure which i have, the chrome molding is 1" wide does not have corner pieces, can someone help identify???
I have the trim around my windshield and I got the seal from Dennis-Carpenter. I had a new windshield and seal installed at the same time. Old seal leaked in the corners. Took it to be professionally installed and they found no rust, new seal still leaks in the corners so I got to take it back and they are going to inject sealer.
Had the seal in the back glass replaced also and so far it hasn't leaked.
All seem to leak at the corners and as much as a foot inward even with new rubber and no rust. Gently peal back the outside rubber at the corners and inject clear silicone sealer, then wipe off any excess. May take a couple of times to get it good enough to prevent rain from coming in across the top edge.
