For what it's worth, I'm currently working on getting a comparison together between two identical trucks with different gear ratios to prove that 3.73 does nothing for towing ability that 3.31 or 3.55 won't do. Not sure when the video will be finished.

I feel like the "Max Tow" package is just a way for Ford to scarf up extra money. But then again, ALL of these available packages are.
Post up some photos if you get the chance. They aren't that different, I climbed under two trucks side by side when I bought the truck. IIRC the supports that go upwards closer to the center are different.

FWIW, Tasca only lists one part number for the receiver (CL3Z-19D520-A) for the '13 STX 5.0, Lariat EB35, and Lariat 6.2, and they list it as fitting all 12th Gen years and, apparently, all trims. Looks like Ford doesn't sell the Max Tow receiver, the Max Tow receiver is the only one they sell now, or the Tow and Max Tow receivers are the same.

I'd take pics of mine, but I don't muchly feel like laying in the mud to do it...

You're actually looking at the part number for the accessory kit they sell, not the factory part number.

There are two listed part numbers, and I believe 9L3Z-17D826-E is the one for "Max Tow". Unfortunately the description doesn't differentiate between the two, just that they are both Class III hitches.

You're probably right, given the prices; a drawing at one angle and an image at another angle don't quite make for a good comparison. Doesn't help that they use the same parts explosion for both receivers, err, "Reinforcements."

I have a max tow with the 6.2. I like it. For a car trailer, the regular mirrors would be ok. I prefer the towing mirrors for a camper....(I tow both) I tend to be the last owner of my vehicles. I'll probably never get rid of my max tow 6.2 f150. If I buy another truck, probably will get a 5.0 with 3.31s.

So I've got a 2019 XLT 157" 4X4, 3.5 Eco, Max Tow package, 20" wheels, towing mirrors. Ordered it that way. Ford printed towing guide shows this capable of 12,900 lbs towing.

My frame sticker shows the "HD" frame. I've got the giant front sway bar and upgraded springs and rear.

My trailer hitch sticker shows "Max Gross Trlr Wt. 13,200 lbs."

Door sticker does not mention towing rating or GCWR, only 7050 lbs GVWR and Payload of 1774 lbs.

How can I tell for sure what this combination will tow? Is there a sticker I'm missing? Or, do I go by the book/guide printed number?

Strictly speaking, your maximum towing weight will be dictated by your GCWR, which is listed in your owners manual and online.

This is assumes that your tongue weight doesn’t put you over your GVWR or RAWR on the pickup, which is a crapshoot.

Figure 12-15% of TT weight on tongue or truck. A 7000lb TT will be about 840-1050 of that 1774 payload you have to work with.
Add in adults and other stuff and you could be over a bit. A 12k TT would be nearly over payload or near it without anyone in the truck.

My 9k TT has 1400 tongue weight on my F-250 with an upgraded hitch.

The fact that you have a 4x4 took your capacity down a notch.

You can't go by the label on the hitch. That hitch is available on different trucks. Besides things like axle ratio, engine horse power and torque, upgraded stabilizer, etc, it is also affected by the weight distribution of the tow vehicle, overall weight, length and wheel base. Therefore, go by the Printed Guide's rating for your specific truck configuration.

The advertised Maximum towing capacity of 13,200 lb. for a 2019 F150 is only achieved by this:
SuperCrew, 4x2, 156.8" WB (6.5' bed), 3.5L EcoBoost, Max Tow Pkg (incl. 3.55 Axle), etc. I think it also excludes the Limited and the Raptor, etc.
